INDIVIDUAL AND COUPLES THERAPY
I offer a free initial 15-20 minute phone consultation when I am able to take on new people. During this call, we can discuss what is bringing you in at this time as well as address any questions you have about my style and approach.
If we decide to move forward together following this call, we can schedule a full session. If I know of a different therapist and style that may be a better match, I’ll suggest a referral.
Sessions are 50 minutes in length once a week and the expectation is that we will meet at an agreed upon day and time every week. I am open to meeting every other week after three months of working together.
I am offering both in-person and tele-therapy sessions. Video sessions are conducted on a HIPAA-compliant platform that can also be done as audio calls when necessary.
My physical office is in an elevator building located in the Gramercy neighborhood of New York City
FEES
The fee for my practice is in line with the market rates for private psychotherapy in New York City.
The fee for a session is currently $250 for an individual and $275 for couples. If finances are a barrier and you would like to work with me, I invite you to reach out to me to discuss whether there is current sliding scale availability. Wherever possible I aim to remove financial barriers for those seeking treatment.
INSURANCE
I am not in-network with any insurance panels at this time. This means you will pay out of pocket, and if you have out-of-network (ONN) benefits, a portion of the fee will be reimbursed to you by your insurance provider. I cannot guarantee that I will be able to accept your insurance, what your insurance payments will be, nor whether or not you will be reimbursed for ONN benefits.
Here are some questions to ask your provider:
Does my plan include mental health benefits and do I need preauthorization to access those benefits?
What is the deductible under my plan and has part or all of it been satisfied?
What percentage of the cost of treatment will be my responsibility once my deductible has been met?
Is there a limit to the number of sessions my plan will cover?
I am happy to send ONN claims for you or send you an itemized Superbill as an added convenience.
At times in the past I have accepted some insurance providers as if I am in-network based upon need and have reserved a portion of my practice for this using a third-party vendor.
